RPI Statement

Dear RPI Community,

The past few months have taken a toll on all of us, individually and as professionals, as we respond to fears around a global pandemic and the corresponding economic impact. Now, we are seeing a different kind of suffering, with a feeling of grief and anger felt by millions of Americans provoked by the killing of George Floyd and others perpetuated by the history of racism.

While we understand there is no single sustainable solution to inequality, racism and discrimination, we believe that “appreciation” founded on respect inspires inclusivity. It is part of our core to advance appreciation for others - for what they bring to work, how they add value, and most importantly for who they are.

In light of the current environment, RPI is working to amplify our voice and energy to eradicate the underlying behaviors, practices and policies that create these injustices – the systemic racism – impacting people of color every day.

We’re committed to listening and learning about the history that brought us to this point and how we can partner for better outcomes and for a healthier today and tomorrow—that only happens when you include all voices at the table. We are and must be here for each other, now more than ever. Thank you for all you do, and thank you for being a part of an organization that will continue to be a positive force in creating change.
